NASSAU ANNOUNCES RETURN OF DON IMUS TO
WHDQ-FM “Q-106”

West Lebanon, NH - Nassau Broadcasting Partners, LP announced today the return of famed radio personality Don Imus to Nassau’s WHDQ-FM, “Q106” on Monday December 3, 2007. WHDQ broadcasts the Classic Rock format on 106.1 FM throughout the Upper Valley and Keene regions of New Hampshire, as well through Eastern Vermont and is part of the Lebanon-Rutland-White River Junction Arbitron market.

“Imus in the Morning” is a syndicated radio program originating at the ABC Radio Broadcast Studio in New York City. The Imus in the Morning show aired for over 14 years on “Q-106” and Nassau is pleased to have him back on the air. Shirley Clark, General Manager of the Nassau Broadcasting Station WHDQ, said that both listeners and advertisers of the IMUS show have been craving his return since April. “There has not been a day that has passed by since April that I haven’t taken calls, comments, or requests for the return of the show”, Clark said. She believes Imus’ will confront his critics head on with the hottest issues, political antagonism and practice of his first amendment rights as it applies to terrestrial radio.

Don Imus began broadcasting on WNBC New York in 1971 where he gained national recognition. The format was a mixture of Rock and Roll and banter with listeners. By the late 1980’s Imus moved from playing music and concentrated on discussing current events with many high profile political pundits.

The show kick off will occur on Monday December 3rd 2007, and will be aired weekdays from 6AM to 10AM.
