Broadcasting launches 107 The Bone on WWYY and
moves Lite 107 to WSBG
Nassau Broadcasting Partners, LP announced
today that Lite 107, formerly heard on WWYY, will now be
heard on WSBG and branded as Lite 93.5. The station will
maintain its Adult Contemporary music programming along with
its strong local presence and community involvement.
The new station,
107 The Bone, will target the male audience in the Lehigh
Valley and Pocono area. The station will feature
music from artists like Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and
Metallica along with “The Free Beer & Hot Wings” morning
show.
Lite 93.5 will feature long time area personalities and lifetime
residents, Chuck Seese, Jo-Ann George, Bob Matthews, and
Rod Bauman. Chuck Seese, morning host, has been a local
personality in the area community for 22 years, Jo-Ann,
who co-hosts the morning show has been a local personality
for 18 years. Bob Matthews, News Director, has served the
local community on the air for 24 years; and Rod Bauman,
Program Director and afternoon personality, has been a
local broadcaster for 16 years.
According to Nassau Broadcasting’s Executive Vice President
of Programming, Michelle Stevens, “We are pleased that
the airstaff of Lite 93.5 has a combined 80 years of local
community service. Lite 93.5 will continue its strong commitment
to the community, with morning personalities Chuck and Jo-Ann
who will host the Pocono Spotlight featuring local, non-profit,
and charitable organizations. Award winning News Director
Bob Matthews will join the morning show with Chuck and Jo-Ann
with all of the state and local news. The station will also
feature enhanced local traffic coverage provided by Channel
69 for local commuters.” Regarding The Bone, Stevens
commented, “We are very excited about the launch of
our newest rock station, 107 The Bone, with local personalities
scheduled to begin in thirty days.”
