CAPE COD’S HERITAGE PIXY 103 LAUNCHES ROVER’S
MORNING GLORY SHOW
West
Yarmouth, MA — Nassau Broadcasting
Partners, LP has announced that its heritage rock station
in Cape Cod, MA, WPXC-FM “PIXY 103” will launch
a new, bold, morning show beginning Monday, February 13,
2006. Rover’s Morning Glory will air weekday mornings,
6AM to 11AM on 102.9 WPXC-FM.
Rover’s
Morning Glory is a unique, syndicated show featuring a
blend of provocative topics tossed around by
the shows cast, a group of eclectic personalities along with
interactive phone calls.
Rover, born Shane French of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, has been
in the radio business for 10 years. In 1996, Rover took the
airwaves in Las Vegas, followed by on air stints in Seattle,
Denver and Knoxville before heading to talk radio based out
of Los Angeles. He perfected his show at WXTM/Cleveland where
he has developed a large loyal fan base.
“After running the HOWARD STERN SHOW for over 10 years,
we knew that we had to find someone as compelling to fill
those shoes…we think we have with Rover’s Morning
Glory. Morning radio offers little to nothing for listeners
since Howard left the airwaves and Rover fills that void”,
says Suzanne Tonaire, Program Director of WPXC-FM “PIXY
103”, who is also known to listeners as the “ROCK
BABE”, weekdays.
WPXC-FM “PIXY 103”, Cape Cod’s heritage
rock station has rocked the airwaves with the best of classic
and new rock since it’s inception in January, 1987.
It is locally operated from studios on 278 South Sea Avenue,
West Yarmouth and was recently acquired by Nassau Broadcasting.
