TO SWITCH FREQUENCIES ON TWO LEADING STATIONS
WPST-FM
and WTHK-FM, The Hawk will switch frequencies on February
14, 2005
Nassau Broadcasting Partners, L.P. announced a frequency switch today of two
of its premier FM radio stations, WPST-FM and WTHK-FM, The Hawk. Effective on
February 14, 2005, WPST-FM and WTHK, The Hawk, which have listeners in both New
Jersey and Pennsylvania, will swap frequencies. WPST-FM will leave its 97.5 FM
home of 37 years, and move to 94.5 FM. Simultaneously, WTHK, the Hawk will move
from 94.5 FM to 97.5 FM. No other on-air features of the radio stations will
change.

is in the best interest of both our listeners and advertisers" said Lou
Mercatanti, Chairman and President Nassau Broadcasting. "WPST-FM is a heritage
radio station and is the long standing number one station in Trenton, NJ market,
and will continue to serve the region with its leading hit music format. WTHK,
The Hawk is the leading Classic Rock station in the Trenton market will also
continue to provide its same format and popular Classic Rock to its loyal listener
base." In addition to serving the Trenton, NJ market and surrounding areas
including Mercer, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Ocean, Burlington and Camden
counties in New Jersey, both stations also actively serve the Philadelphia suburbs
including Bucks, Philadelphia and Montgomery counties."
Nassau also announced today a combined on and off air promotional campaign to
inform listeners about the frequency shifts. This campaign will combine extensive
billboard coverage, direct mail and internet promotion, as well as significant
on-air exposure on both radio stations. The direct mail campaign alone will reach
every adult between the ages of 18 and 54 in Mercer and Bucks County.
Nassau Broadcasting also operates three other radio stations in the region including
WHWH-AM, Moneytalk 1350, WPHY-AM ESPN 920, and WCHR-AM. No changes are planned
for these stations.
