BROADCASTING BRINGS HOWARD STERN TO MAINE, SIGNS ON
FOUR NEW RADIO STATIONS TUESDAY
Portland,
Maine - Nassau Broadcasting Partners, L.P.(“Nassau”),has
assumed control of 11 radio stations in Maine, and today
signed on 4 new
formats for listeners in Southern Maine.
107.5
Frank-FM. The New 107.5 Frank-FM is Portland’s
new home for Classic Hits. Frank-FM features classic songs
from artists like The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John,
The Steve Miller Band and The Rolling Stones. 107.5 Frank-FM
is currently playing 10,000 songs in a row with no commercial
interruption.
106.7 & 104.7
The Bone. Starting tomorrow morning, Howard Stern will
be heard on radio in Portland! 106.7 and 104.7
The Bone features the highest rated and most controversial
morning show in America, and Real Classic Rock All Day from
artists like Van Halen, Ozzy Osborne, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin!.
870 The
Voice. The Voice is Portland’s Free-Thinking
Talk Station featuring progressive, intelligent talk about
today’s issues. There’s been no outlet for the
liberal voice in Portland, until now! 870-AM The Voice will
carry “Air America Radio”, the new talk format
featuring Saturday Night Live Alumni and best selling author
Al Franken weekdays from 12-3 PM.

WLAM. WLAM returns to its roots as the adult music station
for Lewiston-Auburn.
Now known as “Maine’s
Memory Station,” WLAM highlights the greatest songs
from the 50s, 60s and 70s, from artists like Neil Diamond,
The Supremes, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and the Carpenters.
99.9
The Wolf. As announced last week, The Wolf is the same
great country
station as always, just with a new address
at 99.9 FM. The Wolf plays the greatest Country songs from
today, and some of the songs that made country music great
over the years, too. The Wolf is home of Maine’s Outstanding
Radio Personalities Dave and Michelle, hosts of the Wolf
Wake-Up Crew, mornings from 5:30-10AM!
In Addition,
Nassau announced that the 4 stations of Maine’s
Classical Network, W-Bach would continue serving its loyal
audience from Portsmouth to Bangor with quality Classical
music. Nassau will also retain the same programming on 105.5
The Bay. The Bay features “The Music Of Your Life”,
standard songs from the Great American Songbook for the Camden/Rockland
area.
