event, the WLNH
Children’s Auction is pleased to announce
that
Gilford,
NH – In December, the WLNH Children’s
Auction raised an amazing $251,746 to help children and families
in need in the Lakes Region. To expedite the distribution
process in December, the executive board authorized immediate
payment to Lakes Region organizations at levels consistent
with the 2008 allocations.
Due
to the extraordinary the remaining $85,000 is now being distributed
to St. Vincent de Paul, Community Health & Hospice
Young Families Program, Mrs. Santa Fund of Alton, Inter-Lakes
Christmas Fund, Lakes Region Childcare Services, the Boys & Girls
Club of the Lakes Region, the Tapply-Thompson Community Center,
Health First Family Care of Franklin, the Laconia Police
Family Fund and the Tilton-Northfield-Sanbornton Santa Fund.
Since
the creation of the WLNH Children’s Auction
in 1982, over $2 million dollars has been raised and distributed
amongst local organizations that assist needy children and
their families.
