BROADCASTING TEAM HOSTS “HELP FOR HAITI
RADIOTHON”
Nassau
Broadcasting Partners is hosting a day-long on-air benefit
to raise money for the American Red Cross and their Haitian
Relief efforts. The “Help for Haiti Radiothon” kicked
off this morning, Thursday January 21st at 6a.m. and
will continue until 7p.m across Nassau Broadcasting’s
stations throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Phone
banks are staffed by the American Red Cross and donations
are also accepted online through each station’s
website. Special on-air guests include representatives
from each local Red Cross chapter, doctors on the ground
in Haiti, firsthand accounts from local residents who
were on mission work in Haiti at the time of the earthquake,
parents of missing Lynn University student Christine
Gianacaci, Haitian born Americans who have families in
Haiti, staff member from Children’s Nutritional
Program in Haiti who also survived the earthquake, along
with friends and family of people effected by the devastation.
