THE BONE SUPPORTS LOCAL ROCK BANDS
Portland, ME – On
Saturday, December 19th, 106.3 The Bone, in Portland, gave
away $10,000 to
Dead Season a local rock band during Bone Bash 2009.
The Rock ME project started in September as The Bone invited
local rock bands to submit their best songs to be included
in the Rock ME Project CD. Bill Murphy, music director of
The Bone, picked the top 15 songs received to be used on
the CD.
All 15 songs were then placed on boneradio.com so listeners
could vote on the ones they thought were the best songs on
the CD. The three bands that received the most votes online
have been invited to perform live at Bone Bash 2009 in front
of a live audience and a panel of judges. The band that receives
the most votes from the judges wins the $10,000 grand prize.
Congratulations to the top three bands: Dead Season, Fifth
Freedom and Civil Disturbance.
