103 AND BOURNE FIREFIGHTERS HOST THE 7TH ANNUAL “103
HOURS” HOMELESS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
West Yarmouth, MA – WPXC-FM, Pixy
103 and the Bourne Firefighters will present the 8th Annual
Homeless for the Holidays. The yearly event is being held
at Bay Motor Inn, in Buzzards Bay beginning at 8am, Wednesday,
December 9th and runs through 3pm on Sunday, December 13th.
Homeless for the
Holidays has PIXY’s 103’s MattyB
and the Bourne Firefighters living outside for 103 hours
collecting food, toys and money to help local families in
need. The toys are donated to the Marine Corps’ Toys
for Tots Foundation, the food is distributed to the Bourne
food Pantry and the money raised is split between Toys for
Tots and the Bourne Food Pantry. In the past seven years
$75,000; 15,000 toys and 17,000 pounds of food have been
collected.
This year will feature an acoustic performance from INSINR8
on December 11th at 8pm, an acoustic from Chain Drive on
December 12th at 8pm and as always, Santa will be stopping
by every night from 6pm to 8pm.
