THE EAGLE FUNDRAISERS
1069 The Eagle, along with Martin’s Grocery
Stores with Locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia,
and Virginia, have teamed up again for 2010, to strike
out hunger, with the annual 1069 The Eagle Turkey Bowling
food drive. Each Saturday during the month of November,
1069 The Eagle will collect non perishable food items outside
various store locations each weekend. During each event,
each person who donates a food item gets the opportunity
to bowl a strike using a frozen turkey. Prizes will be
awarded for each strike rolled. All collected food will
be donated to local food banks and food pantries across
the four states region on behalf of 1069 The Eagle. This
is the 5th year that 1069 The Eagle has hosted this series
of events to fight hunger.
Starting
November 27th 1069 The Eagle, and Wolfe Furniture have
teamed up
to make this winter a little warmer for children
in need with 1069 The Eagle’s annual Cougar’s
Coats for Kids campaign. For the month of December, the Eagle
will collect gently used coats to be donated to needy children
in the four states region. The event will kick off on Black
Friday at Wolfe Furniture in Hagerstown with a live broadcast
with Kevin Cronin and Morning Host Cougar Michaels, from
3-7. Each Wednesday following, Cougar will do live broadcast
coat drives from 4-6 at the Hagerstown location of Wolfe
Furniture. This will be the 5th year Eagle has participated
in this event, and it has proven to be a successful fundraiser
every year, and it’s clear how our listeners are willing
to help out the needy in difficult times.
