STUFF-A-TRUCK
RETURNS TO HELP CENTRAL VERMONT FAMILIES
Barre, VT– On Thursday, November, 19th,
107.1 Frank-FM, Froggy 100.9 and 1450 WSNO will host the
8th Annual Stuff-A-Truck Campaign.
Frank-FM
Program Director, TJ Michaels and Froggy 100.9 Breakfast
Club Host,
DJ Green will brave the elements in
the Berlin Malls lower lot, across from Courtesy Toyota Scion
and broadcast live from the back of a Bellavance tractor
trailer twenty four hours a day until the truck is full.
According to Green; “We live at the mall during this
event, we don’t go home and we go on an emotional roller
coaster ride. Along with all the outpouring of support and
goodwill, we hear very touching stories from the people who
donate.”
In an effort to help even more this year Michaels and Greene
will not only attempt to Stuff The Truck but they will also
for the first time attempt to cover the 52 foot long Bellavance
Trailer with paper kettles.
The Central Vermont Salvation Army, headed by Captains Travis
and Kim Delong, reaches 10,000 Central Vermonters. In previous
years the donations that were collected allowed the organization
to operate for an entire year on very little or no additional
funding.
The Stuff-A-Truck
Campaign kicks off with a week of collecting monetary donations
and non-perishable food in outlying Central
Vermont communities, dubbed the “Get Off Your Can Tour.”
Every single dollar and can donated to the Stuff-A-Truck
Campaign stays in Central Vermont.
