FM AND THE WOLF SPONSOR THE GREAT FISHING DERBY
Hooksett,
NH – During the weekend of February 6th to February
9th Lake Winnipesaukee was filled with experienced and
novice ice fisherman for the 30th Annual Great Rotary Fishing
Derby.
The fishing derby was sponsored by 99.1 and 104.9 Frank
FM, in Gilford, as well as 93.3 The Wolf, in Hooksett. Throughout
the weekend, Pat Kelly, Frank FM on air personality, was
the official MC of the event and gave live updated reports
on air.
This year’s ticket sales were up with
5,431 tickets purchased compared to 5,100 last year. Participants
were
able to enter a raffle drawing and win prizes depending on
the type and size of the fish they caught. Proceeds from
the derby went to the Meredith Rotary Club.
“It is really an unbelievable event. People come from
all over to participate and it seems to get bigger and bigger
every year,” stated Sarah Sullivan, Program Director
at Frank FM.
