Nassau NY suburban spin cycle complete

Part three of Nassau Broadcasting Holdings' Big City spin-offs has been announced. It'll sell WYNY-FM Briarcliff Manor NY to Pamal Broadcasting for $18.5M. Located on the Hudson River, about 20 miles north of the Bronx, it'll extend the range of Pamal's upstate New York holdings. It'll pair up with WHUD-FM Peekskill, situated even further up the river. Both FMs are listed by Arbitron in the Westchester market.

Nassau bought four Big City stations around New Years (1/2 RBR Daily Epaper #1) for $43M. Three have now been resold for $40.5M, meaning Nassau bought all four to get WWYY-FM Belvidere NJ in the Allentown-Bethlehem market for what turns out to be $2.5M.

WWZY-FM Long Branch NJ was sold to Press Communications for $20M (4/14 RBR Daily Epaper #73), and WWXY-FM Hampton Bays NY went to the Morey Organization for $2M (4/15 RBR Daily Epaper #74).

Nassau has a pending deal to buy another Allentown station - - WYNS-AM - - from Ragan Henry's Zoma Corp. According to brokerage Serafin Bros., it has also agreed to purchase Philadelphia move-in WEMG-FM from Mega Communications. Broker: Serafin Bros. (Nassau)
